Hilbre

Hilbre

Hilbre Island is the largest of three islands at the mouth of the Dee Estuary off The Wirral Peninsula. They are only accessable during low tide and are remarkable for their significance to the birdlife of The Dee Estuary, their own natural ecosystems and local history.

I have been walking out to the islands and spending time on them surrounded by the tide for many years now and slowly they have become part of my life and begun to influence my visual practice.
